Amy Emerson is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified fitness instructor and a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified running coach. She also holds a PiYo certification and has many years of dance experience. Amy started her fitness journey in 2002 after her first daughter was born. She joined a gym, worked out with friends, and attempted to run. Over the years, Amy has participated in various group fitness classes, practiced yoga, and built her endurance to include running half-marathons and marathons. She has realized her greatest fitness successes when part of a community of women working together to achieve goals.
Amy joined the LiveFIT family in 2014 as a boot camp participant soon after completing her first marathon, for which she trained by solely running. She quickly realized that cross-training and strength training were vital components to her running plan and lost 20 pounds in the process! LiveFIT has also introduced Amy to clean eating and she continues to pursue information related to nutrition in order to help herself and others be healthy.
Amy is a Navy wife to husband Brad and mom to four daughters. She is a native Texan, but her family currently resides in Lakeland where they hope to make a permanent home. Amy enjoys helping people set and meet their fitness goals while encouraging them to develop a lifetime love of exercise for the mind, body, and soul. She believes that everyone can be fit and when all else fails, “just move!” Amy currently teaches Club LiveFIT and can’t wait to dance (and sweat) with you.
